CircSyst held its first replication workshop and study visit on 5–6 November 2025 in Lahti, Finland, bringing partners together to explore how the project’s circular systemic solutions (CSS) can be transferred across regions and value chains. Hosted by LAB University of Applied Sciences, the event marked the launch of a series of replication-focused workshops designed to promote peer learning, share practical experiences, and identify the key enablers and challenges for scaling CircSyst’s nine holistic circular models.

From 13 to 15 October 2025, project partner EURADA represented CircSyst at the 23rd edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities (EWRC). As Europe’s largest annual event dedicated to regional policy, this year’s edition brought together policymakers, innovators, researchers and regional representatives to engage in discussions on how to better build sustainable, resilient, and circular regions.

In March 2025. The Agricultural Institute of Slovenia (KIS) organised the demonstration and educational event “From automation to robotics in agriculture” at the Infrastructure Center Ptuj in north-eastern Slovenia, where the CircSyst Demo 2 site is located.  
The event brought together farmers, agricultural advisors, students, policy-makers, and professionals from the agricultural business sector to explore innovations in agricultural technology and sustainability.

At the professional event “Emerging Technologies to Drive the Circular Economy in Businesses”, Joaquín Vilaplana, Head of Innovation and Sustainability (AIJU), presented the CircSyst project, in a programme that showcased the latest technologies supporting the adoption of the circular economy. The event was organized by the Observatory of Circular Economy in the province of Alicante together with Fundeun.

Participants explored how the DEM can improve the quality of recycled plastics, with universities and local industries driving innovation through stronger collaboration. EU-funded projects, such as Demo 8, offer key opportunities to scale up recycling, while discussions highlighted bold visions, the importance of education, and the need for citizen awareness. Despite challenges, the workshop emphasized that regional actions and partnerships are essential to turn ideas into real change.

On 24 June 2025, the CircSyst Demo 3 partners – VITO, Aquaduin & Aquafin – hosted a regional stakeholder workshop and field visit in Koksijde, Belgium, gathering over 40 participants from government, academia, and industry. The event, titled “CircSyst Wetland Day,” focused on the role of constructed wetlands (CWs) in advancing circular water solutions in Flanders and beyond.

At the 16th International Sustainability Conference held on 24 June in Lisbon, Portugal, the CircSyst project was presented by Camilla Chlebna, representing the Centre for Social Innovation Ltd. (ZSI), a partner in the CircSyst project. She shared a conceptual contribution illustrated by plastic packaging cases from the project.
