Second CircSyst Project Workshop on Eco-Friendly Packaging

Continuing the professional dialogue initiated at the workshop held on 28 May 2025, MGFÜ is going to hold the next CircSyst project workshop on eco-friendly packaging.

Their objective remains unchanged: to bring together industry stakeholders, researchers, and policy makers to jointly work towards ensuring that packaging becomes not an obstacle, but rather an opportunity and advantage on the path toward a circular economy.

They invite you to participate in the consultation, learn about the policy recommendations developed within the CircSyst project, and become an active contributor to shaping the future of the food and packaging industries.

Workshop programme:

  • 09:30 – 10:00 – Arrival and registration
    • 10:00 – 10:10 – Welcome remarks
    • 10:10 – 10:20 – Presentation of the progress of the CircSyst project and overview of the workshop objectives
    • 10:20 – 10:40 – Presentation of the CircSyst policy recommendations
    • 10:40 – 11:00 – Session I: Evaluation and prioritisation of CircSyst policy recommendations
    • 11:00 – 11:45 – Session II: Identification of barriers, incentives, and development opportunities
    • 11:45 – 12:30 – Session III: Defining concrete steps and roles towards sustainable packaging and a circular economy
    • 12:30 – 13:00 – Summary and conclusions
    • 13:00 – 14:00 – Sandwich lunch and networking

By attending in the event, participants will have the opportunity to present the practical barriers and challenges they have experienced – whether in the areas of regulation, market conditions, technology, or financing.

The aim is to jointly identify feasible and practical solutions to address these challenges.
